ELIANNA COOPERVIRGINIA LEAD ORGANIZER

Elianna Cooper joined JUFJ in 2020, first as an Avodah Corps member and then the JUFJ Campaign Fund as a Maryland Community Organizer and Organizing Training Coordinator. She is thrilled to launch the JUFJ Campaign Fund’s work in Northern Virginia as the Lead Virginia Organizer in 2025! In her previous roles at the JUFJ Campaign Fund, Elianna has organized Jews across Maryland around progressive campaigns related to youth justice, immigrant justice, and more. She has also developed and facilitated an organizing training curriculum to equip JUFJ Campaign Fund members with the fundamental skills of community organizing.

Elianna graduated from Florida State University with a dual-major degree in Literature, Media and Culture Studies and Religion, and a degree in International Affairs, with a concentration in French. In her free time, you can find Elianna reading, crocheting, or playing the clarinet in a local klezmer (Jewish folk music) band!
